Our Story

Founded in 2023 by a group of passionate UCF students, MACH was created to address the needs of women and children in healthcare. Their belief was that the maternal health crisis— like other crises— is resolvable with consistent and purposeful action. This integral idea became the core of MACH and continues to inspire our members and the larger community we serve.

Since its inception, MACH has partnered with various organizations to broaden its reach. Safe sleep workshops are routinely held in hospitals like AdventHealth and low-income clinics such as Grace Medical Home, but members continue to make an impact at other organizations including the Mother’s Milk Bank of Florida, Base Camp, Ronald McDonald House Charities, and so on. Our presence and impact serve as a steadfast reminder of what we can accomplish as both individuals and an organization.

Our Goal

MACH's purpose is to combat the maternal health crisis in the United States— serving the needs of women and children whilst reducing the health disparities facing those communities. Our efforts consist of clinical and non-clinical volunteering, high-school advocacy workshops, donation drives through MACH Night, fundraising, tabling, and more
